Welcome to the homepage of The Mad Blogger! Beware the wrath of TMB after bad service!

Charter Cable, Internet, Telephone Customer Service Blows

If you're looking to get Digital Cable, Internet or Phone Service from Charter Communications, The Mad Blogger would HIGHLY recommend looking to another provider!

TMB has had horrible experiences with Charter over the past few months. To read about some of them check out this link. Just so you know TMB isn't the only one complaining check out this recent article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch!

Moral of the story? Charter Sucks! Use someone else! Though, TMB also doesn't recommend Directv, more on that story later!

I totally agree. For over a year now when it rains, I am with out high speed service. I call and call and call and call.... and still, NO SERVICE. If you work from home, it's best to invest in a laptop and purchase an aircard.

If you work from home, invest the extra 10.00 and get a business acct then you will have a tech the next day - if not then you get the first avail tech which will prob be a week away. - and by the way, rain, extreme heat and ice do affect the cable! (I am a tech support agent formerly from Charter but now with another Company)

Another American corporation headed for disaster. Charter Communications, Inc. is no longer in the business of providing a good product/service. The following quote is the first sentence taken from their own webpage ( http://tinyurl.com/2tfyqd ) and is under the header "Corporate Governance": "Charter Communications, its management and board believe sound governance practices and policies provide an important framework to assist in fulfilling its duty to Charter shareholders." Stay tuned for forthcoming class action lawsuits for price gouging and criminal proceedings for violations of Sherman Act of 1890 and the Clayton and Federal Trade Commission Acts of 1914.

Charter is the worst company I have ever dealt with. After waiting 15 minutes on-hold, I talk to a guy in the Phillipines who can't understand a word I am saying. Then after getting someone who DOES speak ENGLISH, every time they need to "do something", I am subjected to a 3-minute commercial about Charter. This happened three !@#$% times. Ugh...where is the American spirit of competition. I am FORCED to use Charter in the town I live in. What the !@#$ is up with that?

we, unfortunately use charter, i tried to get help for the service that i can barely use uninterrupted but i have to wait for an hour to actually talk to someone. one would expect that after all the wait, you'd actually get someone who can help...but no! you'd get someone who is more clueless than you are. i didnt have internet and cable for 3 DAYS, i called them about it but as expected, they have no answer but the generic "we are updating our system blah blah"....more like downgrading!!!! and what's worse you actually have to CALL BACK to get credit for all the days u didnt get service, which means that they will let you go through all the hell of waiting for hours and listen to useless ads....is this their way of discouraging people from calling? but after sometime i realized the reason for the long wait......THEY ARE CLUELESS ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT THEIR REPRESENTATIVES HAVE TO STAY SO FREAKIN LONG WITH ONE CUSTOMER THAT IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER FOR THEM TO GET TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER

I just made the unfortunate switch to charter telephone. The same day, I was no longer able to connect to my dial-up ISP provider. Called charter, and they said to call the ISP, must be their problem. I called the ISP, and they told me charter telephone is at fault. ???? My ISP asked if I could take the computer to a neighbor who has a standard phone line from the telephone co. I said ok, connected at the neighbors house just fine, took it back home, no go. Called charter back, and now they say, charter telephone does not work with dial-up ISP or fax??? WTF. But they did tell me that switching to their internet, would fix the problem. Slick.... Back to att, and now everything works fine. I am getting rid of the rest of charters cable now, switching to dish network for tv. -David
