Dont feel bad, We had the same trouble when buying a car for our boy. Also we were loya; customers as we had bought 7 new cars in the past 20 years from them. The last one we bought new we had a mechaical problem with, we called to speak to a service rep or mechanic and were firmly told no, we could not and we would have to bring it in. I told him how many cars I have bought there and how long we have done buisness there and was still told no. I told him he just lost my buisness and my friends and family buisness as well. I called metrocenter accross the river and they talk to me at lenth and diagnosed my problems over the phone.Needless to say I am happy with my new dealer now in my last 5 new cars that my family and I have bought there. cg

The check TheMadBlogger had was not from Capital One, and was not one that the dealer would have been charged money for. TMB has purchased three vehicles using the very same method since the debacle with Southtown Dodge (they suck) and not a single dealer has had a problem accepting the check or delivering the vehicle at the same time. Southtown Dodge just sucks, plain and simple.

It seems strange that you are willing to share the dealers name, the sales persons name, the other dealers name but twice you avoided sharing who the pre-approved loan check was from. It could be that Southtown Dodge has stringent fraud protection rules in place that prevented it from accepting this "TWICE UN-NAMED" loan check. It also is interesting that the Loan Company offered to try to resolve the issue for you and you refused to let them. Maybe you are just a bit hot headed when you don't get what you want when you want it. People don't always need to bend their rules to suit you.

This un-named company is simply for The Mad Blogger's protection, TMB doesn't need to disclose where the money is kept. There was no question about the validity of the check or the bank it was from.

The fact of the matter is Southtown Dodge sucks and no one should ever buy a car from them again.

Their service department is HORRIBLE!! I have recently dealt with them since my old South County Dodge/Jeep combined with them. HORRIBLE customer service. They do NOT care about their customers. We stopped in, found a Charger we were interested in, filled out the app. and were then told it would be 3-4 days before an answer!? WTH? So, 20 miles down I-55 we found another Charger, better car at a better price and we drove it home that evening.

i went to south county last saturday to buy a new wrangler the salesman was more interested in what i did to sell me a car . was a st louis police or county was i military. after about 10 min later i just left who cares what i do. this little man was so phoney i did no know what was going on.
